Over the past two weeks, SP Energy Networks has been sharing a series of case studies to show how it’s helping community energy projects across its licence areas. These inspiring stories include:
Ashton Hayes, Cheshire: A village that cut carbon emissions by 23% through community-led behaviour change and renewable energy projects.
Ynni Ogwen, North Wales: A hydro scheme that uses profits to support green projects and help reduce fuel poverty in the local area.
Edinburgh Solar Co-op: A project that installed solar panels on public buildings, funded by community shares, with profits reinvested back into the community.
