Solar Project Developer/Technical Sales Specialist

Brighton Energy Co-op are seeking a Solar Project Developer/Technical Sales Specialist to join their team and expand their  partnerships with large building owners across the South East. This role is perfect for someone passionate about community energy who wants to drive the growth of renewable energy projects. Applicants need to be based in the Brighton & Hove area.

Applicants will have two key skill sets:

1/ An ability to convince on the phone. Most of our solar prospects require multi-month email and phone conversations to hold the client’s hand through our development pipeline. We are looking, therefore, for people who can convey our key sales messages in a supportive and progressive way.

2/ Compliance/ technical understanding and problem solving. As solar projects progress, they often throw up unique problems. We generally solve these problems as a team, and an ability to contribute to this kind of discussion – informed by technical and regulatory requirements – is always useful. While we don’t expect candidates to have immediate experience of this sort of thing within the context of solar PV, an illustration of how they might approach such tasks, or track record of doing so would be beneficial.
