What would you do with over £30million to help 7 communities transition to a low carbon future? If that question gets your mind cogs turning, and you would thrive being part of a hard working mission-led team living that Cornish life to the full, then this role could be for you!
CfR is a mission-led community interest company which helps communities generate their own energy. We look after 50MW of community-owned solar across 7 local energy enterprises. We do the work behind the scenes managing the community companies and their solar arrays on behalf of their volunteer boards and membership. The role covers 2 key aspects of that work: Firstly, helping those enterprises engage with their members and local communities through brilliant multi-channel comms and real world networking. Secondly, putting the surplus income generated by the big community solar arrays to work to do amazing things in their local communities. That will include: managing community grant funds, working with local schools and community buildings to fund solar on their roofs and organising school visits to the solar farms.
